This scholarship was created in loving memory of John Patrick Howard, a proud Trinity Shamrock whose passion for the performing arts and devotion to his school left a lasting impression on all who knew him. John embraced every opportunity to perform—whether on stage in school productions or singing the National Anthem with pride. He was a vibrant member of House Patrick, where he built deep and lasting relationships with classmates, teachers, and mentors. John truly loved Trinity, and to his family, he remains a shining example of what it means to be a Shamrock. This scholarship is need-based and will be awarded each year to a student with demonstrated excellence and dedication to the performing arts. If no eligible candidate is identified in the arts, the award may go to a student with financial need who reflects John’s spirited engagement with Trinity’s values. It is renewable as long as the student maintains good standing both academically and behaviorally.
